BeAwesome: #106 Lead

To lead people, walk beside them … As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. The next best, the people honor and praise. The next, the people fear; and the next, the people hate … When the best leader’s work is done the people say, ‘We did it ourselves!- Lao-Tsu

MLK (DefinitionOfLeader)

This word, is a”somewhat ” no brainer. I can only express so much, as to why it is important to lead and why you should want to become a leader. Back when, I wrote a little piece on why it is important to “follow”. I talked about how following in ones footsteps can really prepare you for the future. That future is leading. If you have absolutely NO ONE that looks up to you. NO one that looks to you for advice or words of wisdom. You should probably re-evaluate the way you carry your-self. You should probably try to be more out-there and share what is good about you. I am not saying that everyone is a great leader. What I am saying is those who are AWESOME lead. Like mom and dad (Iloveu2) use to say, be a leader and lead by example. Push the chairs in when you live a gathering.  Put your dishes in the sink when you’re at a friend’s house. Turn away when offered to do something you are uncomfortable with. Hold the door for the person behind you when you see them coming. It is not hard to be a leader. The misinterpretation that leaders are these heroes and godly like humans are all wrong. They are normal people. That do normal things. Lead
