BeAwesome: #212 Permission

As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others- Marianne Williamson

I remember school. Grade 2. Raising my hand asking to use the washroom. I remember grade 5 and grade 6. Requested to use a hall pass. To simply go to the water fountain. A trip to the main office to pick up a notice to send home. I remember asking for permission from my mom or dad to walk to a friends house. Or drive my bike to school on a hot day. Permission. Something granted and earned through respect and responsibility. Permission. Something you have but never use so wisely to your advantage. We carry ourselves in a light, that welcomes us and others. We have permission to go forth or take a step back. We have permission to organize ourselves in a manner that allows us to keep going. Believing in ourselves. There comes a time in life, when you need to give yourself permission to wake up. Give your self permission to do what others “think” you cannot do. The courage. The passion. The heart. Give yourself permission to use this energy. When you become a certain age, your permission becomes unlimited. You have the right and ability to do what you want. If decided to allow others to walk over you, so be it. But you have permission to allow otherwise. Those who are AWESOME understand permission. Permission to make a change. Permission

  1. Hi There,

I really like the simple ‘permission’ photo you’ve used here. Where did you get it from? I’d also like to use it, but want to ask for ‘permission’ to use it from the owner!?
