BeAwesome: #229 Cheer

BeAwesome: #229 Cheer

A boo is a lot louder than a cheer. If you have 10 people cheering and one person booing, all you hear is the booing- Lance Armstrong

When I was younger I played a variety of sports. Basketball. Baseball. Volleyball. Track. I wanted to try everything. I was never the best at any of them, but I enjoyed trying. I remember the support from parents and friends on the sidelines. In the stands. The cheering of encouragement. To push harder. To do well. Run a little faster. Jump a little higher. I remember how important it was for me, to have them there. How certain individuals could stand out from others. I read a book about Michael Jordan a while back and he, talks about the assistance of the fans. How he notices details in the audience. How important it is to cheer for others. When you cheer for others, it tells that individual or group that you care. That you want them to do well. When you cheer for others, it shows respect for the work and struggle that individuals or groups have gone through to get to that point. So cheer. Don’t be selfish and look out for just you. Cheer and help others be successful too. Those who are AWESOME cheer! Cheer
