BeAwesome: #320 Top 5 Fist Pumps of All-Time
How it works?
Throughout history the fist pump has become a popular way to express ones emotion. These emotions are usually positive. The fist pump is a tool to inspire or encourage great action, acts or involvement in an occasion. It is a celebratory gesture in which your fist is raised in your own particular manner. Your body’s adrenaline is racing through your veins like a Nascar. Your heart is beating like an African drum. Enthusiasm. Excitement. Energetic. What is your fist pump? What get’s you excited to do more? Be more? Work harder? Strive for greatness at what you do. Find your fist pump and start changing the world.
Here are the top 5 fist pumps of all time:

The best basketball player to ever play the game. Need I say more? Sure why not. 5 NBA Regular Season MVP. 6 NBA Championships. 6 NBA Finals MVP. 10 NBA First Team. 9 NBA All Defensive Team. 1 NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Get my point?
Say what you want about Tiger, but when it is all said and done, Mr. Woods will go down as the greatest golfer to ever play the game. PGA Tour Wins: 77, European Tour Wins: 39 Japan Golf Tour Wins: 2 (to name a few)
Over the past couple of years, Sidney Crosby has been criticized for taking time from hockey and dealing with nagging concussion like symptoms. I know it is a short season (2013) but Mr. Crosby is the Offensive Point Leader so far with 53(As of March 28th/2013). The Pittsburgh Penguins are also the best team in the Eastern Conference. Not to mention The Kids awards: 1 Stanley Cup. 1 Art Ross. 1 Lester B. And the list goes on and on.
Miss Williams owns 18 Grand Slam Single titles, amongst many more. With this type of resume, Serena has the right to “come on” and fist pump up and down the clay, carpet and grass when suited up for action. (Sorry Sloane Stephens).
Note: Tommie Smith should have been mentioned in this blog as well
Find your fist pump and work it to perfection. All the greats have one;-)
BeAwesome: #300 Fresh
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it- Lucy Maud Montgomery
I love the smell of new shoes. It is in my top 5 favorite smells of all time. Actually, it is in my top 3. Weird right. I know I get it all the time. Don’t you love the smell of something new. Opening the wrapper or the box. The feel and touch of something fresh. Not used, touched or worn. I try to get and receive a lesson from everything I do. That is one way I keep positive throughout life. I take the old. And the new. And use both of them to influence my future. I try to stay fresh all the time. Not cool. Not buying new clothes. Not buying expensive jewelry. It means keeping what you do up to date. Being aware. And continuing the push yourself towards having the future you dream about. That fresh smell does not have to go away. It has to be something you continue to smell over and over again. Put the work in every day. And start fresh tomorrow. Run into walls (not literally) Make mistakes. And later start fresh. You always have to go back. And smell it again. Before you can move forward.
Fresh. Not previously known or used; new. Or different. Recently. The first thing that comes to mind when we see this word is cool. And of course we all have our on type cool (Or so-called swagger) but that has to do with your appearance and style. This has to do with your way of life and thinking. Allow yourself a fresh start. Every time you start something. Or go back to something that you’ve been previously working on. That is a fresh start. Never rely on your past to make things happen. Understanding the importance of making experiences. Work. And drive. Fresh each time you beginning. And start. This will give you a lot to look forward to. When you start in your past. Or where you left off. That is giving your mind a memory. Asking you to think about what happen before. Open a fresh thought. And then get going. Starting off fresh is an important part of being successful.
Those who are awesome are fresh. That is all:-)
BeAwesome: #276 Focus
The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear- Brian Tracy
I was 10 years old at the time. I remember very vaguely. I remember sitting on the floor in my living room with my mom and dad. Possibly my sister. Witnessing a game I was still trying to figure out. Then it happened. It was 1998. Salt Lake City Utah. Scottie went down early. And the Utah fans felt a win on home court would send a game 7 to Chicago. An early lead for the Jazz sparked a fire. In his last NBA finals. This would be number 6. The jazz had no intentions on giving this one away. With the odds against the red and white. MJ started to rise to the occasion. The answer as history has recorded. 30 seconds left. MJ steals the ball. The clock goes down to 16 and a championship ring is in the sights on the holder. Michael against Russell. 12 seconds left. 11. 10. Jordan. Jordan a drive. Hangs. Fires. Scores. The bulls lead 87-86. And MJ records his 6th ring in the last 8 years. With all the odds stacked against him. When you want something so bad. You only see the finish line. Everything else doesn’t matter until it’s over. If you don’t want it. You are better of giving up. You have to want it more then everyone else.
The centre of interest or activity. Adapt to the prevailing level of light and become able to see clearly. Concentrate at an extreme level. Block out distractions and outside influences. When you are focused on something. Nothing else matters. You have a goal. You see what it takes to get there. And you go get it. Some people think they understand (Me included) what focusing really is. When you see a vision. And you give 100% outside of the moment as you do inside the moment. That is focus. When you aren’t afraid to stand out. Sweat. Bust your butt. Feel confident that what you are doing is going to be great. Successful and make a difference. That is Focus. Understanding your ability. Never doubting the process. Or in-game experience. Always looking to improve and do what it takes to reach your full potential. Love to achieve. And learn from failure. Build. And Focus.
Those who are AWESOME focus. We see what we want. We take a picture. And see what it takes to get there. Our focus is stable. All outside influences stay still. We keep pushing. Our philosophy. To create. And control our emotions. In a way that influences our actions. To better our results.
BeAwesome: #272 Produce
We hear about this story all the time. One get’s cut from his high school basketball team. From Brooklyn New York, he was out to prove himself at a young age. With his close friend Harvest being the only sophomore to make the team that year. He was motivated. He was hungry to make his life what he wanted it to be. He feed from failure. He was pushed by the words and comments of others around him. The following summer he grew and found a spot on the varsity team averaging 20points per game in his final two season of his high school career. What happen next? Well if you haven’t figured it out already (I would be surprised if you didn’t). 5 NBA Most Valuable Player Awards. 6 NBA Championships. 10 NBA Scoring Titles. 10 All-NBA First Team. 14 NBA ALL Star Appearances. 2 Olympic Gold Medals. 6 NBA Final MVPS. And the list goes on and on and on. How did this happen? Did this individual just wake up and be given all of these things? Did he magically grow tall and be given the skill to compete at a high level. This individual produced. He produced at a level in which everyone should be trying to reach. Can we all be Michael Jordan ( Of course not) Can we try to work hard like him (Definitely)
Make or manufacture from components or raw materials. Grow. By Farming. By Grooming. Creating. Generating something. Present. Output a manner that is impossible to be broken. Get up and create something you believe in. When an individual is asked to create something out of nothing. They have 2 options. Try it. Or Quit. Individuals who try to figure out what works, what produce at a higher level. Individuals who quit. Will never find out. They will miss out on the experience and reason why things happen. Everything in life has a reason why (this is my own opinion) I think the worst things are used to create better things for the future. We cannot control bad things from happening. (This is life) But we can try to make these things never happen again. Produce a level of commitment to reach a goal or a passion you want to create. Produce a level of confidence that other people do not understand. Produce a way of life that is fitting for you and not the people on the outside of your life.
Those who are AWESOME produce. We grow from experiences and produce what we want our future to be. We are guided by our thoughts and motivations. Not by a book. Or another human being (Though we take advice often). We understand our life and where we are going. We create a plan and stick with it. We find a love or a passion and follow it.
I’m glad that Mr. Williams ask me to work on this project for him. Why? Well, I think it is safe to say that we both LoveTheGame with the same passion and companionship as many other fellow basketball fanatics do. See the game of basketball is funny. The game itself is allowed to have affairs and cheat on as many people as it wants too (ahaahahha). You see, to LoveThaGame is more than playing it and practicing it. To LoveTheGame is about living it. Dreaming it. Being it. Believing it. The GREATEST of all time (yes, the GREATEST of all time) once said “Even when I’m old and gray, I won’t be able to play it, but I’ll still LoveTheGame” Micheal Jordan. To LoveTheGame is a lifestyle. We LoveTheGame
Here is an image of what I saw:
StepOne: I used a 16×20 canvas to start this painting
(Started to paint the backdrop)
StepTwo: Started to paint in the bricks
StepThree: Once the brick was finished, I started to paint in a old school basketball net (Sorry this picture did not come out good, Blackberry cam is not the best)
StepFour: Once the net was completed I started to sketch the shoes/ball on the bottom. A little paint on the ball
StepFive: I started to paint the first shoe (Cool Greys)
StepSix: Once this shoe was nearly complete, I started the other with black and white
StepSeven: Added black to the shoe and outlined the basketball
(Sorry this painting took a lot longer than I thought it would)
StepEight: LoveTheGame (Completed)
We don’t do this for fun (LoveTheGame)- Be Awesome
